Yapay Bolivia funds forty college scholarships, which includes tuition, books, room and board, for survivors of domestic violence who otherwise would not be able to attend college.

As of 2024, the 26 “Justicieras” have begun their third year of training. To address the challenges of advanced studies, a dedicated tutor has been hired to support the scholarship recipients. In addition to their studies, they are actively engaging in outreach programs at elementary schools to educate students about domestic violence prevention.

Thanks to generous donations, the Casa de la Justicia physical facilities were purchased as a permanent space for this program. Not only does the building serve as a home base for these women to study, receive training, and attend recovery therapy—it also houses 10 of the women who are orphans or come from faraway villages. In addition, the top floor serves as emergency accommodations for current abuse victims until they can find permanent, safe housing. We aim to expand mental health support, ensuring these women receive the therapy they need to heal from trauma.
